Oral and maxillofacial surgery (Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope) about
2/3 for the surgery under local
anesthesia, due to the special
nature of the surgical site,
patients worried about the surgery
affect the face beautiful or plastic
surgery not achieve the desired
effect, the fear of recurrence,
discomfort, pain and functional
changes, infection and other
complications, the presence of these
stressors will stimulate the body to
produce non-specific reaction.
According to the the Kayseri
pressure and coping theory [1], the
body adjust itself the source of the
pressure acting on will produce
physiological responses of rapid
heartbeat, high blood pressure,
muscle tension increases. Operating
room nurse plus
Strong preoperative visits can
produce appease the patient, so that
patients understand the information
associated with their surgery,
(Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope) surgery to
reduce the non-specific reaction to
prevent rapid heart rate, increased
blood pressure, reduce
intraoperative pain, in which
patients successfully with surgery
to improve the success rate of
surgery.
1 Materials and Methods
1.1 General Information: October
2005 to December 2005 in our
hospital Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery local anesthesia surgery
(Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope) 116 cases,
patients age 12 to 76 years of age,
the average age of 44 years old;
including 65 male cases, female 51

considerations and operating room
environment and participate in the
surgical staff; support for patients
with compassion, comfort and

Guests preoperative visits were only
to notify patients tomorrow surgical
ward nurses and do general nursing.
Local anesthesia patients the day of
surgery operating room nurse at the

after surgery,(Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope) the operating room
nurse to the ward to visit patients,
asked in detail about whether
patients undergoing fear, anxiety,
and to endure the pain of the
situation, whether the satisfaction
of the surgery, to make a record.
2 Results
The experimental group and the
control group of patients with
preoperative and intraoperative
blood pressure and heart rate had no
significant change, fear, anxiety is
not obvious, tolerable pain,
satisfaction with the surgical
results are shown in Table 1 and
Table 2.
3 Discussion
The nurse-patient relationship
Oral(Dentistry,department of
stomatology) surgical
(Surgery,operating,Operation)
microscope nurse-patient communication bridge,
good nurse-patient relationship is a
good psychological care and improve
treatment adherence premise, but
also the key to effective
psychological care [2]. Preoperative
visit to establish a good
nurse-patient relationship,
soundness, economic, easy to
perform, and the advantages of this
method of nursing intervention
through neuromodulation, endocrine,
and immune system play a role to
help patients reduce the stress
response, reducing pain. Local
anesthesia surgery patients are
awake during surgery, unfamiliar
environment of the operating room,
medical staff language, the surgical
instruments(Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope)
Raw sound is very sensitive and do
not understand the surgery and
surgical knowledge(Oral(Dentistry,department
of stomatology) surgical
(Surgery,operating,Operation)
microscope) preoperative easy
to produce fear, anxiety, manifested
as increased blood pressure,
increased heart rate, increased
muscle tension, to make the surgery
more difficult complications
increased. From the results,
dentistry local anesthesia surgery
(Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope) preoperative
visit to promote the nurse-patient
relationship, reducing surgery in
patients with non-specific reaction,
to prevent a rapid heart rate,
increased blood pressure, reduce
patient pain to increase their
cooperation, in which patients
successfully with surgery to improve
the success rate of surgery(Oral(Dentistry, department of stomatology) surgical (Surgery, operating,Operation) microscope).
